Slowly he stood up.
If he hadn’t been that terrified, he would have laughed because of the expressions on the brothers’ faces. While his father seemed to be very angry, Nicars face showed rather... amusement? Pleasure?
“Really your son he is, Fihar.” Nicar grinned and then patted Curarpikys shoulder. “Heared everything, I guess?”
Curarpiky nodded. What else should he have done?
But instead of getting angrier, his father seemed to calm by this words. “Ok, then... just go home. We’ll come later. And...” He smiled and leaned forward. “Don't tell anyone. Not even” He pinched the boys nose, “yourself.” Curarpikys sight became blurred, and he fell onto the grass. The last thing he heard before falling asleep was his uncles voice asking Fihar, if this had been really necessary.

He didn't make any noise, trying to avoid even his breath being heard. After some moments that seemed to be an aeon, Nicar shrugged and looked at the sky. “No rain, no rain... Good thing, that is.” He turned and left for the woods. Slowly, and very, very quietly, Curarpiky followed.
